What NWD Delivered
NWD embedded a senior engineering team directly into Mrsool’s product org, taking full end-to-end ownership of the platform’s stabilization and scaling. No handoffs, no overhead – just delivery.
Within the engagement, NWD:
- Brought test coverage from 0% to 80%+ across the codebase
- Refactored core modules to handle high-concurrency loads without degradation
- Identified and patched all critical security vulnerabilities
- Rebuilt the platform architecture to support regional expansion
- Delivered multiple new features and third-party integrations on schedule
- Established engineering best practices that the internal team continued after handover
The Result
The platform NWD helped rebuild became the foundation for everything that followed.
Shortly after our engagement, Mrsool closed a multimillion-dollar Series A led by STV and Raed Ventures – two of the most prominent tech investors in the region. Investors pointed to the platform’s stability, scalability, and product quality as key factors in their decision. The technical groundwork NWD laid made that round possible.
Mrsool went on to capture 77% of the Saudi food delivery market in Q1 2021, scale to 500,000 daily orders, and expand across the GCC and Egypt. In 2023, the company launched co-branded financial products with Gulf International Bank. In 2024, it secured partnerships with Saudi Public Investment Fund portfolio companies. The company has since been valued at over $1 billion.
None of that growth is possible on a broken foundation. NWD helped build the one it runs on.
